Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Can airfare be substituted for motorcoach transportation?

Yes. Landmark is a full service travel agency with access to the lowest prices available.

  2. Disclaimer of Responsibility

Landmark Tour & Travel acts only as an agent for tour members in arranging transportation, room accommodations, restaurants, sightseeing, and admissions. Landmark and its agents are not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property, or for any injuries, expenses, or damages whatsoever incurred or claimed by any tour member.

Under no circumstances is anyone allowed to travel standing while on the motorcoach. Each passenger must have a seat.

  3. Gratuity Policy

Tipping your driver and/or guide for a job well done is encouraged by the owners of Landmark Tour & Travel.  A small gratuity to both your driver and guide is included in the cost of your tour. If you receive exceptional service and would like to add more, an envelope will be provided.

  4. How do I get the price for transportation from my city on my dates?

Call the appropriate Landmark office and representative (the appropriate number to call for each tour is listed on each page in the catalog) for the exact price from your city on your dates. A Landmark professional tour planner will help you customize your tour to meet your budget and educational objectives.

  5. How do I know that I am getting reliable service?

Landmark Tour & Travel is an accredited, bonded and insured member of the Student and Youth Travel Association (SYTA), the National Tour Association (NTA) and the International Airlines Travel Agent Network (IATAN), certifying that we conform to the highest standards of professional service and conduct for our industry. Landmark’s dedicated staff members have the expertise to ensure that your trip is successful and trouble free. We can customize your trip to suit your preferences and will make coordinating your tour as easy as possible.

  6. How do I make reservations?

The appropriate number to call for each tour is listed on each page in the catalog. Once you contact us, one of our experienced agents will arrange everything. Please remember to book early, as some of our more popular tours book for spring even before the school year begins.

  7. May I request a specific driver or guide?

Drivers and guides may be requested by name only.  Landmark cannot honor requests based on race, religion, gender, or age.

  8. What does the price include?

Round trip transportation (unless otherwise noted), overnight accommodations (where applicable), admission fees and four (4) complimentary trips per motorcoach are always included. Prices are based on a minimum of thirty-five (35) paying passengers per motorcoach. There will be an additional charge for groups smaller than 35 paying participants.

  9. What happens if I change my reservations?

Please review the payment and cancellation policies for your tour included on your contract.

  10. What if the destination in which I am interested is not listed?

If you have a student group of at least 30 and want to travel within the continental United States, please call one of our Landmark offices so that we can customize a tour for your group to your chosen destination.

  11. What if the number of passengers changes after I book?

A decrease in number (below 35 paying passengers per motorcoach) will result in an increase in the price. Each motorcoach for trips with 42 or fewer paying passengers per bus will have a maximum seating capacity of 46. If you have at least 43 paying passengers per bus, your motorcoach will seat a maximum of 55 – 57 people (based on availability).

  12. Why does Landmark offer tiered pricing on all tours?

Tiered pricing is one way of offering your group some fantastic discounts for travel during those times of less frequent demand. For the peak demand season (Thursdays and Fridays in the spring), we still offer a price/value second to none. By traveling in the fall and/or on a Monday or Tuesday, you can save money and increase your chances of having better equipment. Tiered pricing affects overnight tours as well.

  13. Will I get the best value for my money?

Because of our volume of business, we can keep costs to a minimum and pass the savings on to you. This gives you more for your money at prices that can’t be beat.
